NATO chief set to visit Turkey
During his Turkey visit, Stoltenberg will meet Turkish President Erdogan and Foreign Minister Cavusoglu
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will pay a solidarity visit to earthquake-hit Turkey on Thursday.
“I will be in Turkey to express my solidarity and condolences,” Stoltenberg said during a press conference he held in Brussels, following NATO Defense Ministers meeting on Wednesday.
NATO chief who will meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Ankara, will also visit the earthquake zone, a NATO statement said.
During his meeting with Erdogan and Cavusoglu, Stoltenberg said they will evaluate the coordination of the aid to be sent to Turkey by the NATO and allies, Anadolu news agency reported.
