Turkey’s agricultural producer inflation hits new record in November

A record 380.89% annual hike was seen in citrus products while the price of vegetables, roots and tubers increased 231.92% and rice (in husk) 229.91%.
Turkey’s producer price index for agricultural products (Agriculture-PPI) increased by 7% in November from the month before, according to official data that the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) published on Thursday.
Year-on-year, the index surged 169.45%, TUIK said.
On the sectoral basis, a record 380.89% annual hike was seen in citrus products while the price of vegetables and melon-watermelons, roots and tubers increased 231.92% and rice (in husk) 229.91%.
Compared to general Agriculture-PPI, lower annual change were observed in 10 subgroups while 4 subgroups were higher, TUIK said.
