Turkish pro-government media, announced on 7 September that "Goyche Zangezur Republic's first contact office in Turkey was opened in Ankara."

Turkish state media reported on 7 September that a contact office of the " Goyche Zangezur Republic" has been opened in Turkish capital Ankara.

Armenia's Syunik Province is referred to as the "Zangezur Corridor" by Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Opening of the "Zangezur Corridor" to transportation will signify an uninterrupted land route from Turkey to the rest of the Turkic countries. A Twitter account for a "Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Zangezur" was quietly established in February.

Seven months after the first tweet, Ihlas News Agency and Dogan News Agency, both Turkish pro-government media, announced on 7 September that "Goyche Zangezur Republic's first contact office in Turkey was opened in Ankara.

This self-established “Republic” on the territory of Armenia became a laughingstock in Azerbaijan.

On the other hand, the news network close to the government, AHaber, was able to make news titled "Turkey recognized the Goyche Zangezur Republic," which was not true.

This attempt, which is not serious, nevertheless points to the place on the agenda of the establishment of the land connection between Turkey and Azerbaijan, as well as possible annexation, by some groups.
