Barghouti's video was removed from YouTube for alleged "misinformation."

MeRA25, a political party in Greece, has criticized YouTube for censoring content related to Omar Barghouti, a Palestinian activist and intellectual, and the party's messages regarding the Gaza conflict. According to MeRA25, a video from a recent pre-congressional event featuring a recorded message by Barghouti was removed from YouTube for alleged "misinformation."

In their statement, MeRA25 reports, "The message – accompanied by introductory remarks by [Yanis] Varoufakis on BDS and Barghouti – was uploaded to YouTube to reach a broader audience beyond those who attended the event at the Trianon cinema. However, the multinational platform deemed the video as 'misinformation' and chose to remove it, sending us a notification (attached as a screenshot) while informing us that they have chosen to remove the video rather than our entire channel."

MeRA25 continued to voice their concerns about censorship and the stifling of critical voices concerning the Middle East. Barghouti, in the video, underlines the global support for Palestine despite the overwhelming propaganda, with mass demonstrations worldwide protesting the genocide and ethnic cleansing carried out by Israel.

He refers to the stance of several governments condemning Israel's actions against the Palestinian people, who have witnessed over 3,000 child fatalities in three weeks. Barghouti urges pressure on governments, unions, and local communities to expose the Palestinian plight and condemn Israel's lethal policies. These points YouTube identified as "misinformation" and led to the video's removal, MeRA25 emphasizes.
