Officials of the Kurdish-led autonomous administration have been targeted in a car near Kobani, according to a report by SOHR.

Two persons were killed and one severely injured by a Turkish drone strike on Tuesday in northern Syria, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.

The victims are officials of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), and they were targeted as they were traveling in a vehicle south of Kobani, in an area under the control of Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), SOHR said.

Hawar News Agency (ANHA) confirmed the deadly incident and said there was one fatality reported.

It cited SDF Press Center saying:

"Today around 10:30 AM, a Turkish drone carried out an attack on a vehicle. The driver, a SDF fighter, was killed by the attack."

According to a report by SOHR, 12 air strikes have been conducted so far in 2023 by Turkish drones. The attacks left 15 dead, five civilians among them including a child and a woman.
