Reports: At least 11 people killed by Turkish airstrikes, Syrian troops among fatalities
Turkish airstrikes targeting a military base of the Syrian army near the Syrian-Turkish border killed at least 11 people on Tuesday afternoon, according to a report by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
The attack in the western countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobane), east of Aleppo province, followed an earlier Turkish airstrike in the same area targeting another Syrian military post near the village of Tell Jebna.
In a report by Hawar News Agency (ANHA), local sources were cited saying that 16 Syrian troops were killed in the village of Jarqli by Turkish airstrikes.
The Syrian state media SANA said later in the evening that three Syrian soldiers were killed and six others were injured by Turkish airstrikes in Aleppo countryside.
SANA reported that some military posts of the Syrian army were targeted by the attacks between 14:37-15:00 PM local time.
