Turkey reportedly targets a regime check-point, kills a civilian in Northern Syria
Local news agencies and the SOHR (Syrian Observatory for Human Rights) said that artillery strikes by Turkish Armed Forces targeted a regime military checkpoint in Al-Kharza village between Amudah and Darbasiyah.
The SOHR said the traffic on the highway was cut because of the bombardment but there was no information on the casualties.
The Darbasiyah region was also shelled by Turkish forces and a communication tower was hit, Rudaw cited from Syrian state agency Sana.
SANA did not elaborate on whether there was an attack on the Syrian army.
SOHR sources also reported that a civilian was killed during the ongoing shelling in Al-Hasakah province.
SOHR said Turkish forces continued artillery strikes on areas in Tel Tamr countryside, north-west of Al-Hasakah, on Tuesday morning and a civilian was killed when a shell rained down on his house in Al-Salmasah village.
