Turkish shelling kills Assyrian fighters, injures Syrian troops in the same area

Two Assyrian fighters were killed and at least two Syrian troops injured by Turkish shelling around Tell Tamr in northeast Syria.

Two fighters of the Assyrian Military Council were killed on Friday by Turkish artillery fire near the town of Tell Tamr, northwest of Al-Hasakah, in northeast Syria, Hawar News Agency reported.

The fighters were identified as Yusif Muhsin Al Mitra and Radi Mizil Al Osman.

In a separate Turkish attack in the same area, a Syrian army officer and two Syrian soldiers were injured in the village of Al-Shaikh Ali in Tell Tamr countryside. The officer was identified as Haydar Ibrahim.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed the second attack, reporting the injury of a lieutenant and a soldier, who were transported to the National Hospital in Al-Hasakah after they were given first aid in Maydany Hospital in Tell Tamr.
