Ukrainian, Russian delegations to sign agreement next week – Turkish Defense Minister

“A coordination center will be established in Istanbul,” says Hulusi Akar

Akar spoke to reporters after the four-way meeting between Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian and UN delegations held in Istanbul concluded. The Turkish Defense Minister stated that “it was agreed to establish a coordination center that will house representatives of all parties.”

Akar mentioned that the delegations agreed to conduct “joint controls” at ports and ensure the safety of the vessels carrying Ukrainian grain. The Turkish Minister also announced that Ukrainian and Russian defense delegations would meet once again next week. “In our meeting next week, all the details will be reviewed once again and our work will be officialized,” he said.
