The official data showed that the number of unaccompanied children registered by the ministry since the devastating earthquakes were totalled as 1,902.
The ministry also said that 322 children were under treatment in hospitals.
The twin earthquakes of Feb.6 that claimed more than 44,000 lives in Turkey’s southeast have also left many children without families, in need of guardianship and care.
