At least 36,187 people died in devastating tremors
Death toll in Turkey’s earthquakes has increased to 36,187 on the 11th day of the disaster.
At least 108,068 people were also injured by the tremors, according to official data.
On Feb.6, two massive earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.7 and 7.6 respectively, have struck ten provinces in Southern Turkey in less than 12 hours, causing a catastrophe in the region, home to around 13.5 million people.
The tremors, both epicenter in Kahramanmaras have also left hundreds of thousands of people without a roof on top.
Over 61,000 buildings had either collapsed or in urgent need of demolition, or severely damaged across ten provinces, the official data showed.
Gaziantep, Sanliurfa, Diyarbakir, Adana, Adiyaman, Malatya, Osmaniye, Hatay and Kilis provinces were also severely affected by the quakes.
More than 8,000 people were saved alive from the rubble.
