"It is now our duty to bring down this government," HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan said

HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan on Thursday visited the earthquake-stricken towns of Islahiye and Pazarcik on Thursday.

The ruling bloc is preventing non-governmental organizations and volunteers from helping earthquake victims, especially the HDP (People's Democratic Party), Buldan said.

"Those who should resign today are pointing fingers at those who are helping. If the government, including Erdogan, had a face, they should have resigned after the first two days," Buldan said.

Turkish authorities on Wednesday seized the crisis coordination center of the pro-Kurdish HDP in the Pazarcik district of Kahramanmaras and appointed a trustee to run the facility.

Buldan said that the HDP, together with the residents of Pazarcik and members of other non-governmental organizations, collected relief goods in a warehouse and distributed them to the villages.

"It was an actual solidarity. It was a mobilization to bind the wounds together. But last night, the district governor and those who came with him to the building have seized and usurped the materials with an order from above." said Buldan.
