One person trying to resist was shot by the attackers
A truck loaded with aid for Turkey’s earthquake victims was subjected to a hijack attempt in Istanbul on Wednesday.
A person trying to prevent the usurpation was wounded in the armed attack on the Istanbul Pendik branch of the Sahkulu Sultan Foundation that collects aid for the victims, Arti Gercek reported.
“We have collected a large amount of donations for earthquake victims. They wanted to seize one of the trucks to be shipped to Anatolia. One of our friends who resisted to prevent the usurpation was shot,” Beyzade Ozkahraman, the head of the foundation said.
