Can Pahali’s body was found among rubble by a relative

One of four Australian nationals who were previously reported as missing in Turkey’s earthquake was found dead in Hatay.

Australian citizen Can Pahali’s body has been removed from the rubble by a relative who flew Turkey from Germany in search of his missing cousin, Sidney-based 9News reported on Thursday.

"He was left to die for over 60 hours," his niece, Katherine Pahali said.

Pahali who had been living in Glebe, Sydney was holidaying in Hatay province, according to 9News.

Australian Foreign Ministry earlier has announced that they have not heard from four Australian citizens known to be in the region following the earthquakes.

The United Kingdom, Australia, Italy and the Netherlands were among the countries that announced a total of 14 missing nationals in Turkey’s earthquake zone.

Two massive earthquakes have hit Turkey’s southeast on Monday, so far claiming at least 12,873 lives.
