Police intervention at a lively Kurdish music celebration in Istanbul's Kadiköy district led to chaos by police intervention as shots were fired into the air.

An exuberant Kurdish music celebration at crowded Moda Beach in Kadıkoy district of Istanbul turned into chaos as the police intervened, ultimately resorting to firing shots into the air.

The incident unfolded when a group of young people enthusiastically engaged in the traditional Kurdish dance known as "halay," accompanied by Kurdish music.

The situation took a dire turn when the police seized their speakers, leading to a confrontation between the officers and the protesting youths.

In response to the protesters, the police resorted to using pepper spray, causing a chaotic clash between the officers and the youth.

In the midst of the clash, a police officer drew his firearm and discharged several rounds into the air.

As the commotion subsided, the police managed to apprehend at least four individuals, whose identities and whereabouts remain undisclosed at this time.

Disturbingly, while in the police vehicle, the detained young individuals were subjected to physical abuse. The onlookers in the vicinity expressed their outrage and disapproval towards the police's actions.
