Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan is expected to win the second round of presidential elections with 52.7% of the vote, while the opposition alliance's candidate, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, is predicted to receive 47.3%, leading research company KONDA said on Thursday.

The poll was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 3,607 people in 154 neighborhoods and villages of 108 districts of 34 cities between May 20-21, 2023.

However, KONDA also highlighted three dynamics that could affect the election results. These include the impact of events in the week leading up to the election, strategic voting decisions by party leaders and candidates, and the voter turnout in the second round of the election.

It is worth noting that KONDA is reviewing its processes to understand the reasons for the deviation in their previous poll conducted on May 14, 2023. This demonstrates the importance of conducting regular reviews and evaluations of polling methodologies to ensure accuracy and reliability in predicting election outcomes.
