Devlet Bahceli, the leader of the Nationalist Movement Party has denied allegations that his party will form a joint list with the ruling Justice and Development Party for the upcoming parliamentary elections

Ultranationalist Turkish leader Devlet Bahceli has denied allegations that his party will form a joint list with the ruling AKP (Justice and Development Party) in certain provinces for the upcoming general election and announced that MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) will participate in the election with its own logo and candidates.

In his statement on Twitter, Bahceli reminded that the other two parties in the People’s Alliance, the Great Unity Party (BBP) and the New Welfare Party (YRP) have also decided to participate in the election with their own logos and candidates. Therefore, it would not make sense for MHP to consider forming a joint list with AKP.

Describing the rumors of a joint list as a "mistake that underestimates MHP," Bahceli expressed confidence that MHP will achieve the success it deserves.

It was claimed that the AKP was planning to form a joint list in many provinces with the MHP, whose votes were below the 7 percent threshold in some polls.
