Minister: Those who advocate policies in line with the US will be declared traitors
Turkey's Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said on Thursday that "those who pursue policies in line with the United States will henceforth be declared traitors in Turkey."
Türkiye'de, bundan sonra kim Amerikan eksenli politika yaparsa, altını çizerek söylüyorum;

Responding to questions in a live interview on Turkish broadcaster NTV, Soylu said:
"From now on, whoever advocate policies in line with the US, whoever come up with a stance in line with the US in some political parties, let me underline this, they will be declared traitors in this country. Turkey has now arrived at such a point. That's because all sides are now obvious in these elections, and it's totally obvious what the US is trying to achieve in Turkey."
He added:
"You'll see that those who are engaged in efforts to impose political arguments in favor of the US will be targeted by accusations in their parties, and they will be purged."
Soylu was recently elected deputy for the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) on 14 May, and currently still serves as minister of the interior in President Erdogan's administration, in apparent violation of the constitution that requires deputies to resign to start serving as minister.
