Official cites "adventures" in primary school as major merit
As Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan is widely subjected to a strong criticism for having created a system that favors and promotes people not for their professional merits but their affiliation with ruling political parties, the CV of a Turkish Red Crescent official has gone viral after it was spotted by some that the man made reference to his "adventures during primary school" as major credentials on his resume.
The CV of Furkan Ozdemir, the assistant general manager of Turkish Red Crescent's sister organization Young Red Crescent, reads:
"Born in Istanbul. He was elected the school's vice president when he was fifth-grader in primary school, and the school president when he was eighth-grader. His adventures of presidency that started at early phases of school life continued in high school. He was enrolled in four different high schools in four years and served as school president in four schools."
Ozdemir is also the head of international relations at Young Red Crescent.
