Old couple beaten at Turkish customs gate
Two customs officials who punched, kicked and knocked down an elderly couple at a customs gate in Turkey's Kurdish-majority Sirnak province were dismissed on Tuesday, the governor announced, after many took to social media to protest the incident, which was caught on camera by a bystander.
The video clearly shows the officers hitting, pushing and shoving an elderly lady and her husband around, apparently for no reason.

The governor called the incident a "deplorable act" and said an investigation was underway that would not identify the victims or the officers.
The Sirnak Bar Association also said it would soon request a court case against the perpetrators.
