Police prevents doctors' protest in Istanbul
Police in Istanbul blocked and pepper sprayed health workers trying to march to the local health authority’s office as medical staff across the country went on a two day strike to protest violence in the hospitals.
Gathering near Capa Hospital in central Istanbul, the crowd protested government policies of enabling the hospital violence and chanted for the health minister’s resignation.
Police prevented the protesters from passing through the gates of the hospital.
