Poll: Erdogan’s approval rating falls to 45.1%

A survey from MetroPOLL showed that voters who approved of the way Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan performs his duties decreased by 2.5 points compared to October.

The approval rating of Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan fell further in the month of November, data from a leading Turkish research company showed.

In the survey conducted by MetroPOLL Research, when the respondents were asked, "Do you approve of the way Tayyip Erdogan is conducting his presidency,” 50.6% of the participants answered "No, I do not approve". The rate of those who said "Yes, I approve" was 45.1%.

Those who said "I have no idea/No answer" remained at 4.3%.

In the October survey, the rate of those who "confirmed the way Erdoğan does his duty" was 47.6%, while the rate of those who did not approve was 47.8.

The most striking aspect of the poll was the response of respondents who said they voted for the ultranationalist MHP (Nationalist Movement Party)

According to the survey, MHP voters who did not approve of Erdogan's way of doing his duty increased to 33%, a 25% hike from October.

Meanwhile, 13.7% of the respondents who said they voted for the ruling AKP (Justice and Development Party) said they did not approve of Erdogan, a 6.6% increase compared to October.
