Record seizure of counterfeit dollars in Turkey
One billion dollars worth of counterfeit money was seized on Friday in Istanbul.
Three Swedish nationals, a British national, a Ghana national and a Turkish national were detained on allegations of printing and planning to transport the counterfeit money.
The network were intending to deliver the forged bills to African countries, Turkish news agency DHA said.

The counterfeit money, in 10 million 100 dollar bills, was seized inside cases at a warehouse raid by Turkish troops.
Private residences of the suspects were also raided, and an unspecified amount of money and some jewelry were seized.
The counterfeit money seized is the highest amount on record in the history of the Turkish Republic, DHA cited officials.
