Soylu to Washington: "Take your dirty hands away from Turkey"
Turkish interior minister Suleyman Soylu said that the primary concern for every ambassador of the United States to Turkey has been "staging a coup d'etat" and "inflicting harm" on the country.
Speaking at a meeting of the Migration Management in the southern city of Antalya on Friday, Soylu said:
"It's unfortunate for Turkey that every American ambassador who has been appointed to Turkey has been absorbed in sorting out, 'How can I stage a coup d'etat in Turkey.' This is very unfortunate for Turkey. Each American ambassador tries to think out, 'What can I do to inflict harm on Turkey so that my fathers will appreciate me'" This is their primary concern."
He continued:
"They [American ambassadors] summon other ambassadors and try to whisper advises in their ears. They do the same in Europe. Europe is directed from the American embassies. Don't worry, the Europeans won't be offended, they know the truth. The American ambassadors, they sit down and design everything. They thought they would be able to design Turkey too, but a man, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, spoiled their game."
Soylu addressed the US ambassador to Ankara, saying:
"I'm telling the US ambassador: I know about the journalists who writes articles on his instructions. Let me be very clear, take your dirty hands away from Turkey. I know what you are instructing people to do, which steps you make them take, how you're trying to create chaos in Turkey. Take your dirty hands, your masked grinning faces away from Turkey."
