Turkey: A manipulated image of Hitler given as present to Bahceli
An official of the far right Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) in Turkey gave party leader Devlet Bahceli a present, a black and white photo showing Turkish Republic's founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk with a German Shepherd, which turned out to be a manipulated image of Adolf Hitler.
Cuneyt Tosuner, recently appointed chair of MHP's local branch in the Western province of Manisa, showed his gratitude by giving Bahceli a photo of Ataturk with a dog at his side, which looked pretty much like a wolf, a symbol for the ultra nationalists in the country.
However, the photo was only a manipulated image, and the original taken in 1942 showed 3rd Reich's leader Adolf Hitler near his vacation home (Berghof) in Bavaria with "Blondie."
The photo was in the album of Eva Braun, a German photographer and longtime companion and briefly the wife of Hitler.
Tosuner said on social media:
"Being under the roof of the Nationalist Movement Party, the blessed Dervish lodge entrusted by our martyrs, and taking responsibility in its ranks, is an honor and pride for us."
