The man was arrested after a video, which allegedly shows the man beating students, has begun to circulate on Twitter in Turkey.
Soykan said that the center is located in the Hurriyet neighborhood of Istanbul's Buyukcekmece district and belong to the religious cult of Ismailaga.
The cult recently came to public attention after a senior preacher for the cult faced legal charges over placing his daughter in the hands of a man as early as she was six, and later as members of the cult staged a demonstration in support of the father.
More recently, the cult's most famous preacher Ahmet Mahmut Unlu, known in Turkey as Cubbeli Ahmet Hoca, targeted the opposition parties with a curse on the occasion of Bara'at night.
