Turkish National Amputee Football team won the title for the first time, beating Angola in the final match held in Istanbul
Turkey won the 2022 Amputee Football World Cup, defeating Angola in the final match that was played in Istanbul on Sunday.
The biannual tournament made up of 24 countries was organized by the World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF) and held in Istanbul between Sept.30 and Oct. 9.
The final match between Turkey and Angola was played in NEF Stadium with almost 15,000 spectators including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Turkey won the match 4-1 and became the world champion for the first time.
