"They are currently trying to establish a Kurdish state in northern Syria. We also try not to establisht it. So many people don't be martyr for nothing."

While visiting the city of Adana in southern Turkey, a local asked Minister of Family and Social Services Derya Yanık that why they did not send Syrian refugees back.

"Turkey shows mercy to refugees. But it does not take care of 5 million Syrians out of mercy alone. You should know this very well. The Aleppo line across the border and the Turkmens living there have been providing our border security for 400 years. They are currently trying to establish a Kurdish state in northern Syria. We also try not to establisht it. So many people don't be martyr for nothing. We did not welcome so many people for nothing. The Turkish Armed Forces and the Free Syrian Army are fighting in the north of Syria. Establishing a Kurdish state there means cutting southeastern Turkey with a knife. The opposition parties persistently ignores the issue of establishing a terrorist Kurdish state."
