Sabah's Mehmet Barlas has scorned at Pelosi's denouncement of Azerbaijan's aggression against Armenia, and expressed his fury that "she openly targeted a NATO ally in Armenia."

A Turkish media figure, who has been known to be close to all Ankara administrations since the military coup in 1980, called Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, a "witch" after her visit to Armenia.

While the Turkish President and Foreign Minister chose to remain silent over Pelosi's recent denouncement of Azerbaijan's "illegal assault" against Armenia, Mehmet Barlas said in his column in government media Sabah:

"America who has been dragging all regions across the world into chaos and who has been threatening various regions by means of puppet states has recently started sending a witch named Nancy Pelosi to conflict regions. Nancy Pelosi, whose official title is the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, was in Armenia yesterday.

"It is to be recalled that she earlier visited Taiwan, to provoke China. Pelosi the witch visited the alleged genocide memorial in Armenia yesterday and said, in protest against Turkey: 'We have stated in our meeting that both sides hold Turkey and Azerbaijan responsible for the clashes that have been going on for years.' She openly targeted a NATO ally in Armenia.

"It is truly interesting that a 'witch' is now involved in the policies of America, who pushes every region it has entered into bloodshed and chaos. US President Biden is a person whose mental faculties is a subject of public debate anyway. And the US apparently lacks a global policy as it regularly adds fuel to the fire. Europe has caused its own economic demise by imposing sanctions on itself in the energy sector, and aggravated the crisis by arms assistance."
